Houghton Hall Park 2017

Progress continues on the Visitor Centre construction, with various play trails being built around the park, landscaping taking place and lots of interior fit-outs occuring! The coming weeks will definitely be busy ones.

Below are the latest photos sent in by members of the community. Thanks all who contributed. We also have some photos of the new bi-fold doors leading the outside cafe space and the NEW toddler play.

Please see our news section for all updates and follow our Twitter and our Facebook page for information, events and a local what's on, including the successful awarding to Fresh Start Catering on their Visitor Centre cafe contract.

Our NEW Park Manager, Rachel Orme and Activity Officer Robyn Godfrey, have both joined the team.

Central Bedfordshire Council was awarded a grant of £2.2 million to transform the Park, from Heritage and Big Lottery Funds ‘Parks for People’ grant scheme. This grant will enable us to return the park to its former glory and provide better facilities for the community, including an exciting new heritage Centre with rooms for meetings and activities, a cafe and toilets. There will be new gardens, improved paths, better woodland management and lot of opportunities for people to get involved in gardening, archeology, wildlife improvements and a whole range of events with something for everyone.

Find out more about this project on the Renaissance and Renewal Project page.
