Final instructions to ensure you have a fantasic day!

  • The theatre show is being held in the area outside the visitors centre and the trail is in the kitchen garden which is a 5-10 minute walk from the visitors centre, a map of the park can be found here https://www.houghtonhallpark.org/visitor-info
  • Please feel free to bring picnic blankets or rugs to sit on, the performance will still go ahead if it is raining, you can bring chairs however please be considerate of the people around you and try not to block anyone’s view, we will ask you to move to the back of the audience if that does happen.
  • You can take part in the trail before the show, the trail opens at 10am and closes at 4pm, you can pick up a trail sheet from the produce hut in the kitchen garden or from the HHP gazebo located by the Visitors Centre from 10am, please have a copy of your booking available to show our volunteers.
  • Please bring a pencil/pen and something to lean on.
  • Please do not allow your children to climb on the beds in the kitchen garden, we do not want to have any falls and we also have lots of lovely things growing there.
  • We have limited parking so if you are local please walk, cycle or scoot to the park if you can, if you park in the Visitors Centre car park remember to get a free 3hr ticket from the machine and only park in marked bays, parking enforcement officers do visit the car park throughout the day and will issue tickets. If this car park is full you can use Houghton Regis Bowls Club’s car park which is located on Moore Crescent post code LU5 5GZ, drive up to the barrier and it will open, this car park is a two minute walk to the kitchen garden and does not require a ticket.
